Most sessions are a combination of working with specific aspects of the physical body
Below are some examples of sessions I've done with my patients.
Group Distance Sessions are a great way to stay on top of your self care!
I'll be doing 5 themed group distance sessions so register for one or for them all.
Only $22 each or $88 for all 5.
Register on my website or message me. The first group session, From Confusion into Calm will be on April 3rd.
You will get a recording of the session that you can listen to whenever you need a little extra support.
I recently made a blog post featuring the article written by Dr Laura Stuvé about the science of distance sessions and how important they are in today's time of quarantine and social isolation, which you can find here. For this post I'm going to share about how sessions work from my perspective, what we can work on, and what people are saying about their distance sessions.
I will also be offering specific group distance sessions for only $22 and details of that will be below.
So how do I explain how Distance Sessions work?
By guest author Dr Laura Stuvé
The world needs the powerful healing we can uniquely provide in the safe and effective format of distance treatments. But a lot of people - family, friends, and clients - may be having a hard time believing in this, and aren't open. This doubt is understandable - we've grown up in the Western healthcare paradigm where distance healing sounds like it's from a magical realm. I'm passionate about sharing my perspectives as a PhD scientist, mind-body medicine instructor and practitioner to help open doors for all of us to share the distance healing potential of the BodyIntuitive/BodyTalk systems with everyone who needs them right now....so here goes!
I was meeting a friend for coffee and this question came up: What do you need? I have no difficulty asking that question and even providing what others need, but I have a lot of difficulty asking for what I need so much so that when asked, I often have no idea what to say.
After my brain injury, I was asked this question a lot, and I didn't know what to say. My friend asked me this question last week and I still had no idea what to say.
I stopped to think:
What do I need?
And then my brain starts editing: what is a worthy need? What am I worthy of asking for? Does she really care about what I need?
All these questions are byproducts of programming that tells me my needs are not important. ⠀⠀⠀
So I checked in with my heart: What do I need?
I need help developing a few class ideas I have.
I need words of encouragement.
I need to know I'm not alone.
I need to know I can do this.
I need to know there are people on my side.
I need a a few hugs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don't necessarily "need" anything, but those are the things I consistently need.
Another aspect complicating this, is not trusting others to give us what we need. Past experiences of others denying us, mocking us, belittling us when we asked for what we need prevents us from reaching out and asking for help. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All of these entrained stories can be addressed through BodyTalk and acupuncture and we can heal these deeply held stories and create room for healing and asking and safety and the ability to trust others with our needs. ⠀⠀⠀
What do you need today?
BodyIntuitive and BodyTalk allows us a space in which we can listen to what's going on in your body - really listening for what it needs for healing.
What are other places that allow this space? Meditiation, prayer, painting, hiking?
Those are great spaces, but often times our brain hijacks the information we get- squashing it, criticizing it, dismissing it. Sometimes we don't trust that we are listening accurately. Sometimes we are so deep in our own darkness that we can't see the light.
That's why seeing an objective observer, a practitioner, who's trained to navigate your body's Priority for healing is so important.
Your body is so smart and knows what it needs for healing at any given time.
Do you have a practitioner who listens?
